Dame in Distress

The dame was trouble. I could see it in her eyes. She was also beautiful. I could see it in her... other places.

"I'll pay you three diamonds a day plus expenses. Do we have a deal, Mr. Spike?"

I sighed. There were only two things in this world I could never say no to. One was a pretty girl. The other was a tasty gem.

She smirked.

She had me by the tail. She knew it. I knew it. What's more, she knew I knew it.

"It's a deal, toots. Now tell me more about this mangy mutt you saw out your window..."
